  • Plan and implement quality and affordable programs in response to community needs.
  • Provide a welcoming environment that fosters participation and community spirit.
  • Encourage, acknowledge, support and train volunteers within the Centre.
  • Develop working partnerships, network with other agencies and professional bodies to continue to create positive pathways for local residents.

Several local groups meet at the Centre. They provide a wide range of activities for residents. From arts and craft to computing or general interest to adult education. Group activities are listed on the Centre Calendar page.   Groups can even have their own page on this site to explain what they have to offer to the community. Readers can view the groups page here. Volunteer Vacancies – the Centre has a new playgroup on Mondays at 12.30 – 2.30pm.

We are seeking volunteers to assist as leaders to support the Mums and have fun too!

Open for all ages  0 – 5 years, hosted with activities.

Playgroups that focus on building friendships and information sharing in a friendly setting. Enjoy the opportunity to share time and experiences with other parents and children.

Community Sisters Women’s Program (formerly known as Being a Woman)


Dates in 2017 :  Friday  17 Feb, 17 March, 19 May ,23 June, 18 Aug, 22 Sept,  20 Oct, 17 Nov,

Time : 11.45am – 1.45pm

Cost :  $7.00  –  payment in advance , for catering reasons


Women of all ages and backgrounds are welcome.

Crèche available – gold coin donation, bookings are essential

Community afternoon tea.


Interesting guest speakers, opportunity to chat and enjoy afternoon tea with locals.

Aberfoyle Community Centre and BankSA have joined together in an Alliance to raise funds for the Centre to purchase equipment When you take out a New Home Loan or move your Existing Home Loan to BankSA, mention the Community Centre and BankSA will give an agreed % of the settled loan amount as a commission to help fundraise for the Centre. The Centre has a Hall/rooms, kitchen, crèche room & playground available for hire for private parties, corporate functions, educational seminars and regular activities. Any questions regarding hiring of a venue can be answered by Anne or one of our admin staff.
